Register a Vehicle

Complete a vehicle registration by capturing the customer, sale, and serial information.

Before you start​

  • You need permission to register serials; otherwise the register button is disabled.
  • Open the vehicle from the Vehicles page and stay on the Details tab. The serial must be registrable (not marked Cannot be registered) and not already registered.

Steps​

  1. On the vehicle's Details tab, click Register a new owner.
  2. In step Customer, enter the owner's Email and Phone. Typing an existing customer's email loads their details; a new email creates a new customer.
  3. Set whether the customer Is a person. For a person, fill First name and Last name; for a business, fill Company.
  4. Complete the address: Address, Suite, Postal code, City, Country, and Province, plus optional Gender, Age, Language, and Consent for marketing.
  5. In step Serial information, fill the serial fields, including Odometer (KM).
  6. In step Warranty, optionally select a warranty to enroll. Each option shows its MSRP, or Included / Active if the vehicle is already covered.
  7. In step Sale, choose the Salesperson and the sale Date.
  8. In step Legal notice, read the certification statement.
  9. Click Complete registration (or Back to vehicle to cancel).
  10. Back on the Details tab, click Download registration document to get the PDF.

Good to know​

  • Required fields: a valid Email, Phone, First name/Last name or Company, Address, Postal code, City, Country, Province, and Odometer (KM). The sale Date cannot be later than today.
  • Warranties are optional at registration, and only one warranty per group can be selected.
  • Registration is processed in the background. The Details tab shows the status: Pending, In Progress, Blocked, Failed, or Success. Use Retry if it is pending or failed, and contact us if it stays blocked or in progress.
  • Download registration document appears only once the document has been generated (status Success).
