Enroll a Warranty

Attach a warranty to a vehicle, set its sell price, and track its enrollment status.

What you'll learn​

Before you start​

  • The vehicle must be registered first; warranties are not available without a registration.
  • You need the Can register item serial permission; otherwise the Enroll button is disabled.
  • Open the vehicle and select the Warranty tab.

Steps​

  1. On the Warranty tab, review the Warranties available for the serial. Each shows its name, MSRP, and a description (hover the help icon).
  2. Click Enroll on the warranty you want.
  3. In the Enrollment confirmation dialog, under Select the warranty price, keep MSRP or choose Custom sell price and type the price you are selling the warranty for. The dialog shows the result under The enrollment price will be:.
  4. Click Enroll to send the request (or Cancel).
  5. Track the enrollment on the warranty card: "Enrollment requested. Need help? Contact us", "Enrollment in progress. Need help? Contact us", or "Enrollment failed. Retry or Contact us".
  6. Once the warranty is enrolled, the card shows its coverage. When the warranty document is ready, click Download.

Good to know​

  • If the serial is not registered, the list is replaced with "The warranties are not available without a previous registration". Register the vehicle first.
  • Enrollment status values: None (shows the Enroll button), Requested, In progress, Failed, and Success. If enrollment shows Failed, click Retry, or use Contact us for help.
  • With Custom sell price selected, the price is required: Enroll stays disabled until you enter one.
  • Only one warranty per group can be enrolled. Once a warranty is enrolled, the other warranties from the same group no longer appear in the list.
  • Warranties have an enrollment deadline. Past that date, a warranty that was not enrolled no longer appears in the list.
  • Enrolled warranties display their coverage: Until a date, No expiration, or Expired.
  • You can also select a warranty and set its sell price while registering the vehicle (the Warranty step of the registration form).
  • The Warranty tab also lists the vehicle's claims below the warranties (see Vehicle claims & service notices).
