Manage Employees
Manage the people at your dealership: add employees, send invitations, and control access.
What you'll learn
- Adding an employee and sending an invitation
- Finding, viewing, and editing an employee
- Resending invitations, suspending, re-enabling, and deleting
Before you start
- Open your account menu (your avatar) and select Administration. The Employees tab opens by default.
- Adding, editing, or changing employees requires an admin role (Retailer Admin). Without it you can view the list but not make changes.
Steps
Add an employee:
- On the Employees tab, click Add employee.
- Under Details, enter the First name, Last name, and Email.
- To invite the person right away, check Send invitation with employee creation, then choose their Roles and Language (see Roles & permissions).
- Click Add employee to save.
Find and open an employee:
- Use the Search an employee box to filter the list by name or email.
- To include suspended people, open Filter and turn on Include suspended.
- Click an employee card (or View employee) to open the Editing view.
Edit, invite, or change status:
- In the editing view, update the Details and click Save employee.
- Open the Advanced menu (top-right of the dialog) for more actions:
- Resend invitation — available while the employee is Pending.
- Suspend employee — available while Active.
- Enable employee — available while Suspended.
- Delete employee — available for employees who have not yet activated an account.
- Confirm the prompt ("The employee will be ..., do you really want to continue?").
Good to know
- Status meanings: Active (account activated), Pending (invited but not yet accepted), Suspended (access revoked; can be re-enabled), Inactive.
- Suspended employees are hidden from the list until you turn on Include suspended.
- Your own entry is marked (You).
- First name and Email are required, the email must be valid, and it cannot already be in use.
- Changing an invited employee's email resends the invitation when you save.
- Save employee is hidden for a suspended employee; enable the employee first to edit their details.
